These allow operators local access to set and adjust plunger cycle times and parameters. PCS Ferguson Liquid Lift Controller

A basic electronic controller with solar power and battery backup provides the main operating logic, including open, closed, after flow, and back time settings. Simple to set up and use, this controller has been on the market for over 25 years, offering a stable and reliable platform. However, it cannot be integrated with SCADA or other communication platforms and lacks Modbus capabilities.

Extreme Telematics Corporation (ETC) Alien Controller

The ETC Alien Controller is a stand alone unit featuring advanced control logic, offering the ability to add pressure transducers. It can control not only plunger lift but also injection gas in GAPL mode, providing a versatile mix of control features and options. The ETC Alien Controller is MODBUS compatible, allowing it to be integrated with existing SCADA systems and third-party communication platforms, making it suitable for both plunger lift and GAPL well applications.

Champion X Smarten Unify Control System

The Smarten Unify Control System from Champion X features edge processing and advanced AI capabilities, enabling it to not only monitor well operations but also display detailed insights into plunger performance. Its inferred production logic estimates fluid volumes per plunger cycle and recognizes plunger cycles even when they aren't captured by sensors. High-speed pressure data allows the controller to track plunger fall speeds and assess overall plunger effectiveness by comparing calculated fluid column volumes with fluid signatures. This can indicate if plunger efficiency is declining or changing, suggesting potential mechanical issues. Additionally, the Smarten Unify Controller comes with a free web-based access portal and can be fully integrated into existing SCADA systems within your operation, enhancing accessibility and operational efficiency.
